Part of the beauty industry for over 30 years, Don Lovell founded The Barbers with his wife, Alison, in 1999. The brand has since expanded to 30 locations throughout Oregon and Washington.
Before starting The Barbers, Don worked as an area director for the Regis Corporation, sales manager for Aveda's Progressive Beauty Supply in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and as sales manager for Goldwell Cosmetics of Oregon.
His early start in the industry came from working with Maly's Midwest, where his family helped grow the brand into one of the largest Paul Mitchell and Redken distribution centers in the United States.
Don believes in doing deep dives into customer service systems and in teaching his barbers the value of such platforms, helping them turn a walk-in into a customer for life.
