An Ohio State degree in product development with a focus on fashion led to a career in retail for Lance Keeney. He served as general manager at Urban Outfitters, Sunglass Hut, and other high-end boutiques.  

Lance eventually moved to the corporate world, working as a merchandise planner at Express where he managed a book of business averaging $200M in annual sales. His field and corporate experience prepared him for business ownership backed by his strong financial acumen and desire for solid policies and procedures. Lance joined his wife in opening Boss Gal Beauty Bar in 2019. The business quickly grew, allowing them to open three more locations in desirable neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio, over the next three years. Lance, Kathy, and their daughter Isla live in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and continue to run the day-to-day operations of their four locations.
